Careers

BACKGROUND

We are a very friendly, but fiercely professional and ambitious practice, rooted in values that we fully embrace and strive to embody as we go about our work:

  • Our Patient is the Epicentre
    We are aware that our patients suffer a great deal, and our work is to alleviate some, or all, of that suffering. We strive to improve our capacities for deep listening, non-interference, and expanded awareness to provide the best, most transformative experience possible for our patients.
  • Expertise
    We respect and remain in awe of the infinite complexity of the human mind. We remain on a constant quest to understand more and commit to applying our knowledge in a nuanced and humble way to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Integrity
    We intend to remain radically honest and transparent in our dealings with anyone associated with our practice. We believe full disclosure is at the heart of trusting and sustained relationships with our patients and our partners.
  • Inclusivity
    We intentionally strive to always maintain a non-judgmental attitude in all our interactions to create an environment in which all individuals feel understood and included.
  • Respect
    We respect and honour the view that there are many paths that lead us to knowing ourselves better, from indigenous and shamanic, to empirical and evidence-based, to spiritual and Gaia-based cosmologies. All are welcome.

    We fully believe that the quality of our practice is predicated upon the quality, commitment and professionalism of our associates.  Being a small practice, we are extra careful in ensuring that that a win-win is achieved when we begin new associations.  We are therefore keen to listen to your goals and aspirations, along with your motivations, so we can assess “fit” and compatibility.

    VACANCIES

    Our patients typically present with serious conditions including Treatment-Resistant Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, severe anxiety and pain.  The demands on our professionals are high.   We need to be able to accompany these patients on their road to improvement and recovery.  In order to deliver in the area of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, our practitioners must master and be comfortable in applying our unique approach, sometimes setting aside years of conventional therapy experience.

    We are currently in the process of rapidly expanding our practice, and would like to build contractual associations with a variety of healthcare professionals:

    Psychedelically informed Psychologists and Psychotherapists

    We wish to recruit psychologists and psychotherapists experienced and competent in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy to respond to the demand for our services. A limited number of full-time contract positions are available for ideal candidates.  If you are relatively inexperienced but have a strong passion for the field, we are still interested to have a conversation with you.  We provide high quality professional training and long-term mentorship to selected candidates;

    Psychiatrists

    We are in search of strategic collaboration with psychiatrists in a number of areas, including the development and introduction of intramuscular and intravenous dosing protocols. We are also looking to add MDs to our panel of ketamine-prescribing physicians (usually sub-lingual lozenges).

    Nurse Practitioners

    We would like to explore opportunities for collaboration if you are an NP with knowledge and/or experience of ketamine and the ability to assess patients for suitability for ketamine treatment. You must be licensed to prescribe the medicine in your province.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    You must be a member in good standing of the relevant professional body in Ontario;

    Experience of more than five years in a relevant area is essential;

    We offer online and in-person services.  It may well be necessary for you to regularly commute to our retreat in the north of Toronto;

    A strong interest in the area of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy is an absolute must – we work only with people who exhibit passion and commitment;

    We look for people who embody our values in their approach to professional life.  Please see above and elsewhere on this website for details.

    OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

    We are always keen to develop relationships in the following areas:

    • Cooperation with healthcare professionals who refer their patients to us for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy where conventional approaches are not yielding the desired results.  We operate using a collaborative approach, keeping the referring provider informed and involved in the patient’s progress. The patient is returned to the referring practitioner once treatment is complete;

    Ancillary Services.  Our Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy protocols include time for relaxation, reflection, self care and exercise.  As such, we are interested in speaking with you if you can provide healing-related therapies such as yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy, massage, osteopathy, acupuncture, reiki, energy-based therapies and other therapies that promote recovery, relaxation, reflection and healing.
